VRV / VRF Systems

Central air-conditioning solutions with variable refrigerant flow that manage many indoor units in a single system.

VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems connect one or more outdoor units to many indoor units and adjust the refrigerant flow according to demand. They are applied in multi-zone buildings such as offices and administrative buildings, educational institutions, factory office blocks and residential projects.

Scope of Work

  • VRV systems
  • VRF systems
  • System design and equipment selection
  • Outdoor and indoor unit installation, refrigerant piping
  • Cassette, ducted (concealed ceiling) and wall-mounted indoor unit applications
  • Testing, commissioning and user training

Technical Information

VRV is the brand name given by Daikin to the system it developed, while VRF is the general term used in the industry for the same operating principle. System selection depends on many parameters such as building loads, number of zones, piping lengths and floor heights, and requires an engineering assessment.
